Supporting Young Musicians and Musical Activities in Staffordshire

Charity Trustee Vacancies

Do you have the drive, vision and ambition to help shape the future of music education for the young people of Staffordshire?

Our charity is seeking to recruit 2-3 additional Trustees to help lead the organisation during its next stage of growth and change.

With a healthy balance sheet and plans to develop its fundraising to deliver new and innovative projects in the future, Friends of Staffordshire’s Young Musicians (FOSYM) aims to improve access to music education and to support individual excellence.

We are looking for creative, enthusiastic individuals with a genuine and demonstrable interest in music education.

Applicants must be excellent communicators, have the ability to understand complex issues and experience of operating at a strategic level. We are particularly (but not exclusively) seeking applicants with experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Fundraising
  • Accountancy
  • The Law

Trustees are unpaid volunteers. Meetings are held five or six times a year in the early evenings, outside school holidays.

If you think you have the qualities we are looking for, please send a cv and covering letter explaining what interests you about the role and how you might contribute to the Charity.

For an informal discussion or further information about these vacancies, please contact the Chairman, Andrew Worrall, on 07973 842252 or by email at

Be part of something special
